The Shadow Line explores growth and transformation, bringing different generations, energies and perspectives into the same musical space.

The concert centres on the five pieces from The Shadow Line, exploring memory, inner conflict, resilience and gratitude, alongside Sarajevo and Suresh, which evoke outward journeys and cultural encounters.

The core instrumentation is trumpet, trombone, alto saxophone, bass and drums. In this configuration, the absence of a chordal instrument creates an open, exposed sound in which composition and improvisation shape a collective narrative. When appropriate, the ensemble can be expanded with a harmonic instrument and/or percussion.

The Shadow Line is conceived as a flexible ensemble rather than a fixed line-up. Depending on the context, Denitto can perform the project with professional musicians, collaborate with outstanding young local artists, or develop it as an ensemble project in partnership with conservatoires, universities and music schools, both in Italy and abroad. In educational settings, he can work on the original repertoire and arrangements with selected students, culminating in a public concert. The instrumentation, arrangements and artistic concept remain recognisable, while each line-up brings its own energy and perspective to the music.
