Contemporary accounts describe his technique as possessing exceptional clarity and intellectual power, always placed at the service of a broad structural interpretative vision. Within this perspective stands the tribute realized by Marcello Rolff in 2024, a project made possible through the support and organization of the Associazione Pasquale Anfossi, an institution of significant importance in the national musical landscape. The program, undertaken by the pianist at just eighteen years of age, is notable for the high technical and intellectual demands of a repertoire that, due to its complexity and the specific performance tradition it entails, is relatively rarely performed.

The decision to juxtapose original works with Bach transcriptions reflects the dual nature of the composer and highlights the continuity between Busoni’s thought and contemporary pianistic practice.
