Viktoria Smetana is a versatile harpist with a deep passion for exploring a wide range of musical styles and genres. Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, she began studying the harp at the age of seven under the guidance of Larisa Klievtsova. After completing her secondary education, Viktoria continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where she currently works with Ernestine Stoop and Sylvain Blassel.

She has received awards at prestigious national and international competitions, including the Glowing Harp International Competition (Ukraine), the International Harp Competition (Portugal), the World Bach Competition Boulder Bach Online Festival (USA), the Hong Kong International Online Harp Competition, the “Marsel Tournier” International Harp Competition (Italy), and the Welsh International Harp Competition.

She maintains an active concert career across Europe and beyond, performing both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, and collaborating with distinguished groups such as the Metropole Orkest.

She has participated in masterclasses with internationally renowned artists, including Isabelle Perrin, Elizabeth Plank, Alina Bzhezhinska Lazorkina, Jasmin-Isabel Kuhne, Viktor Hartobanu, and Alexandra Bidi.

Currently, she studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with Ernestine Stoop and Sylvain Blassel, developing a versatile repertoire that combines technical precision, musicality, and interpretive sensitivity.
