Massimiliano Rolff’s music, founded on a deep knowledge of the jazz tradition combined with a personal taste for composition, has become in the last 20 years a point of reference for many lovers of jazz music across Italy and Europe. As composer has released 9 albums receiving international awards, acknowledgments and critical reviews and leading his bands and as demanded freelance bassist in recent years he has played in the most renowned jazz clubs, festivals, theaters, TV shows, across all European countries, USA, South America, Africa, China and Japan. He toured with some jazz legends such as Steve Grossman, Scott Hamilton, Eliot Zigmund, Perico Sambeat, Dave Kikoski, Jesse Davis, Dave Schnitter, Federico Britos, Phil Woods, Peter King and many more. He’s currently Bass Teacher and Head of Jazz Deparment at Conservatorio “G.Nicolini” in Piacenza, Italy.
